Exercise and Me

I love to walk, ride my bike and sometimes run. I've had this week off for Spring Break but I've done absolutely no exercise.

I do resolve that when we get moved I'll utilize the fitness room at least 5 days a week. If its nice this weekend we'll go for a long ride too. I know I need to make more of an effort but because of family drama I've been in a funk. I'm hoping this will turn around in the next two weeks. If not then I'll still make myself work out and hopefully the extra endorphins pumping around will make me feel better regardless.

How do you make yourself get out and workout even if you'd rather curl up on the sofa with a kitty on your lap and the tv remote?

Relief

I'm pain free so far today and fingers crossed that is like that all day.

I'm starting my day with my typical weekday morning breakfast of oatmeal with olive margarine and some brown sugar. I'm still unable to eat oatmeal any other way.

I do need to run to the store so I'll pick up some more sandwich fixings: tomatoes, romaine, avocado, and some Schneider's fat free deli meat. I think I need more WW bread too as my husband also eats sandwiches often.

Dinner tonight is pasta sauce with WW pasta and some WW french bread. We're trying to eat down the pantry so a lot of our dinners will not be as healthy as I'd like them to be until after we get moved.

Loads of packing too today and maybe a bike ride this evening

P.S. At the Superstore last night I bought some President's Choice Brand Cran-cherry juice that I'm really hoping also doesn't taste like Cherry Nyquil ::shudders:::

Much Love & Happy Living Day!!

Ugh

First off I found some Pom Cherry juice and it was quite gross to me. Tasted like Cherry Nyquil which I'll never take again either.

I had a horrible eating day but I'm not going to post on here because its pretty disturbing to me. Fingers crossed that I'm feeling better tomorrow and will be back on track.

I finally have a oven too as we went to Canadian Tire and bought a toaster oven on sale!! It makes me laugh how I can spend 80+ dollars there for .30 in CT money back.

To Get Healthy

When shouldn't be getting sick as much as I have this week. I've had a really bad sinus headache since Saturday and today is no exception. I really hope it clears off soon so it doesn't ruin my entire holiday this week.

To that regard I'm not posting my meals today as I know when I'm headachey I tend to eat more for some reason. I did have oatmeal for breakfast though.

I hope everyone has a great day for me today!

Comments

The not being able to leave a comment on my blog has been fixed so please comment away if you are so inclined:)

Never as Planned

Because I had a tension headache most of the day it really through my eating out of whack so this is what I ended up eating this afternoon after breakfast

Morning Snack: Special K Blueberry Fruit Crisps - reminds me of pop tarts but smaller and healthier (I hope)

Lunch: two slices of Eating Right Cranberry Raisin bread, toasted, with a bit of almond butter spread on top and a celery stick with more AB

Afternoon Snack: Some Kashi Crackers with hummus from Planet Organic

Dinner: steamed and sauteed Brussel Sprouts, a marinated chicken breast and some WW couscous.

This is the marinade I use for the chicken breasts:

1/3 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon lime juice
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon thyme or other herbs ( I use 1tsp of the Garlic Mrs. Dash)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 lbs skinless chicken pieces ( I use boneless skinless breasts)

Make the marinade by whisking the 1st five ingredients together. Marinate the the chicken in mixture for one to six hours. Place on preheated grill (at medium high) and cook 10 to 12 minutes per side for bone in or 6 minutes for boneless. Shred or cube any leftovers and use in salads, casseroles and pasta dishes

I got the recipe for the marinade in Running Magazine and its my "Go To" marinade now

My head is starting to ease up now so hopefully I'm doing eating for the night.

Todays Meals

Breakfast: about three bites of lumpy oatmeal..Not sure what I did wrong there so I used up the rest of the frozen hashed browns made with some diced onions and red peppers and a egg with a bit of cheesed grated over. I'm really head-achy today so I tend to eat more.

Lunch: A new favorite, Blue Diamond Almond Butter & Strawberry Jam sandwich on WW bread. I never cared for almond butter until I tried the Blue Diamond that I picked up at Planet Organic

Dinner: grilled marinated chicken breast, stir-fried broccoli and 1 cup of either WW couscous or rice. It depends on my head on how complicated todays meals will be

I dont have any vegetables in the house at all so I'm off to pick some up soon.

Photos!!

I weighed myself this morning and if my scale is accurate then I'm at 240.4lbs.

For reference the running tights are and XL from Old Navy and the bra tank is a 2XL from Mark's Work Wearhouse.

I'm not taking measurements as that could prove to be real scary but at least I know have a visual.

I'd like to get down to the 160-170lb range

Stay Tuned

Later today I'll be posting up some current weight body shot photos. I really want to accurately chronicle my weight loss in the hopes that it will help me stay constant.
