Lets talk about Tripods
So now that I"m trying to blog more and occasionally post photographs of me in outfits for one reason or another I find that I need a tripod as my hubby/photographer is going out of town more too.
The tripod pictured above is the original Gorilapod and is in my price point aka cheap. Right now I have a plain point and shoot so it could suit me but I was wondering what everyone in the blog-o-sphere uses???
Portability is a must and if it I can throw it in my purse or bike basket, even better!!!
Much Love & Happy Living

This looks awesome! Thanks for posting.
You are quite welcome:) I think I may pick one up this weekend if I have time..Its a pain timing pictures with my hubby being home and the cats are absolutely useless lol
I currently balance mine on my daughter's blackboard which is why my pics are slightly skewiff. I do have a regular tripod hanging around somewhere but not sure exactly where - I think my 10-year-old has it squirreled away as he uses it too.
That said, I remember a loooong time ago there was a discussion about this - possibly on the Fatshionista Livejournal site? - and it was generally agreed that the Gorillapod was the best thing.
I LOVE Fatshionista and I'll to search the memories.
I think I'm going to go ahead and picked up the Gorillapod and test it out:) I can't wait
Thanks!!
Fiona, I was thinking of getting one of this tripod design too! Getting my kids to photograph me is less than ideal. There's a smaller version that looks convenient for travel (I'm thinking: bike rides!) and the right size for wrapping around a railing or attaching to a bike frame - and the price point was amazing at the big-box store where I saw it.
Deoborah~ is it the gorillapod or a different brand? They had a photo on their site too with one wrapped around a bicycles handlebars..I actually Squeed out loud too heehee
P.S. what box store? MEC also has them and so does London Drugs:)
I have a big DSLR so I use a full length tripod. Though I'm dreaming of the dslr version of the gorillapod for a bit more versatile and smaller traveling 'pod. I like the idea that you can attach the little tripod legs around whatever's handy... like your bike handles or a tree, bench, window sill, etc. Very convenient. Let me know if you get it and how you like it. (It just may end up on my Christmas list!)
And, I'm glad you liked my remix collage!
Vanessa~
What SLR camera do you have? I have cameras on my wishlist..Another just P&S and then a really nice SLR. I start my new job this week so I'm getting the Gorillapod with my 1st paycheque.
