Why is it so hard?

I want to be healthy. I want to be able to not pay double for larger sized clothes..So why is it so hard to just do it?

And then at 175 which is close to my goal weight

Pretty awesome at 175lb I think....not my final goal of 155 but even would be a good stopping point and keep working on toning.

So why is it so hard?    I have a million excuses on why its hard but how many of them are really valid.. Probably 5% or less.

I mean I know what I need to do and I have started it but yet something little unhealthy devil sits heavily on my shoulder and whispers sweet and fattening nothings to me "fast food, chips, Southern food" and so on. 

Then there is the "sit on my butt" devil that sits on my other shoulder that says "Hey! Video games are fun!  Watch more tv! surf the net for hours!"  

I need to find my food and fitness angels that those devils are sitting on and set them free!!  

Yesterday I walked over 4 miles /pats back  though my time sucked but its a start.   2 years ago I could walk 4 miles in 60 minutes and yesterday it was 4.25 miles in 78 minutes.  Not bad but not great.

Disclaimer: I don't swim but I love going in the pool and I'm hoping soon to be able to take some kind of Aqua non-swimming class...I have a fear of drowning so despite swimming lessons when I was younger it didn't take.

I'm thinking I may order the swim shorts from Land's End and then get an assortment of cute swim tops to mix and match.

What kind of swimsuit do you have?   Do you swim a lot or just pool exorcise classes?

Hello Everyone

I'm truly sorry that I've been AFK again. I've had quite a few medical issues in the last few months and have been trying to sort them out. 

While that has been going on I've become re-commited to a fitness routine and have re-vamped my way of eating again also.

In the last 15 days I've faithfully logged my meals at My Fitness Pal and have been working out at least 4 times a week. 

I'm back to eating most of my meals vegetarian though I haven't given up totally on some meat and seafood/fish.   I'm also still eating eggs and dairy.  Overall though I'm feeling better and have more optimism that my life will get better in the next 12 months. 

My personal goal is to start blogging again, at least twice a week to keep up with my accountability.

P.S. If anyone that still reads my blog is on MFP I'd love to have more friends:)
